Part of our mission at TJ's Gym is to give back to our local communities and also reach out to those in need further from home. We are especially committed to local school districts and high school sports programs. Here are some examples of what we've done:
*Since 2009, we have donated 100% of our profits from initial memberships purchased by Corte Madera/Larkspur district families directly to SPARK, the school's foundation. We have been a lead business-supporting-schools sponsor since that time.
*We have supported the Blue Star Moms of Marin through funds raised at our annual TJ's Gym competition and our annual NorCal Masters Competition. In 2012 and 2013, we raised over $6,000 for this organization, which sends care packages to soldiers serving overseas.
*We are a lead sponsor for the Central Marin Soccer Club serving families throughout Marin County with youth playing competitive soccer.
*Through our NorCal Teens competition, we raised money to support Steve's Club, a New Jersey-based operation providing CrossFit classes and other services to at-risk youth.
*In 2012, we were a lead fundraiser for the international CrossFit for Hope initiative, raising money for St. Jude Hospital. TJ's Gym raised over $15,000 for this great cause.
*During the 2011-12 school year, we donated 100% of our profits from initial memberships purchased by Ross Valley district families directly to YES, the school's foundation.
*During the 2011-12 school year, we donated 100% of of our profits from initial memberships purchased by Dixie School district families directly to Can-Do!, the school's foundation.
*We have conducted year-round PRO-BONO Physical Education Classes at Neil Cummins School.
*We frequently run workout fundraisers for various causes and are available for suggestions from community members. Our largest home-based fundraiser to date raised over $15,000 for The Disposable Heroes Project, an organization helping wounded warriors and families of fallen soldiers.
*We served as the Strength and Conditioning coaches for the Novato High School Football Team PRO BONO during their 2009 season.
*We raised over $6000 for breast cancer research at our 2010 Burpees for Breast Cancer event.
*We raised over $5000 for a local Novato boy battling cancer during our Grand Opening in Corte Madera in June, 2008.
